​Katherine Varma, MD

Although she is a native of Oregon, she grew up spending summer vacations with family back east, (including Bethany Beach!), and is excited to now call this area home. Katherine received her bachelor’s degree in biology and US history from Kalamazoo College. During that time, she studied abroad in Australia and fell in love with the culture. She returned to Australia for medical school and graduated from the University of Queensland, during which she did her clinical training in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation, she stayed in Louisiana for her three years of pediatric residency at LSUHS with a focus on outpatient pediatrics. Dr. Varma has a special interest in complex care and loves helping every child reach their full potential. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside with her husband and dogs, traveling, and reading a good mystery novel.
